⁶ They prepared onyx stones, engraved them the same way signet rings are engraved, and set them in ornamental gold settings. ⁷ As the Eternal instructed Moses, he positioned the onyx stones on the shoulder pieces of Aaron’s vest as a memorial for the people of Israel before the Eternal One.

⁸ He then had skilled workers make the breast piece in the same style as the vest out of finely woven linen embroidered with blue, purple, and scarlet thread and with gold.
